On sunday 29th June at PUC, there was youth forum which was held by Khmer Youth for Social Development (KYSD) and Youth Peace Council Network (YOPEC) under the topic of "Youth and Nature is the one".
The main purpose why they held this programme in order to spread the messages to the youth about the nature. ''There were three main points that we did this progromme. First, we wanted to shared the knowledge about the enviromen with the nature to the youth. Second, we want to show about the achievements that our members network in Phnom Penh and province have done to protect our nature. Last, it is a message for our government to take more steps about this concern'', said Ms Thun Saykhim a head of youth Peace Council Network. She added that, "the second point is very important because it show a great work, activities, so all of these can exhort them to know and think what other did why they can not."
Chhun Tal, a club monitor to protect natural source, live in Ke village, Ratanak district, Louveang commune, Preah Vihea province said that his club lead the youth to educate to the villagers about caring the nature by writing the slogant, note and strengthen the knowledge about it. In the same way, Mr. Thoeun is from Kampong Spoeu province one of the volunteer told us that his club encourage people there to love the nature and grow more trees.
Sophaharaty, a participator who is a year one student at Noton University in field of business, expressed her feelig that, "I am very happy to see our youth now have action to protect our nature and held this very important forum." She showed her own view that if we are all together love and stop destroy the forest any more, our nature will be good. No forest our lives will be difficult.
At the end of the programme Ms Saykhim pointed out the objective in future that her team will found more member network in the countryside. And said that only youth can take much care about the nature as the our topic of the forum risk that Youth and Nature is the one. So we must hand in hand to protect our nature last longer and longer for people in the present and in the future.
